What this site collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. It is short, because there is not much to tell.

One, for light or dark

In short

  • I only see what you choose to send me: a message, a form, a booked call.
  • One small cookie remembers if you picked light or dark. No ads, no tracking across sites.
  • Visits are counted without cookies and without storing who you are.
  • You can ask me to show, correct or delete anything about you, any time.

Who is responsible

This site belongs to Tiago Manuel, who works as Design by Tiago from Portugal. I decide what happens to the information on it, which in data protection terms makes me the controller. If anything here is unclear, write to hey@tiagoomanuel.com and I will answer you myself.

What I collect, and why

Nothing is collected unless you decide to get in touch. When you do, this is what reaches me:

1
The contact form

Your name, your email, what you are building, when it needs to be live, and your message. I use them to reply and, if we decide to work together, to prepare a proposal. The form is delivered to my inbox by Formspark.

2
The five questions

Your answers stay in your browser and are never sent anywhere. If you ask for the written version of your result, your email and your answers are sent to me through Formspark so I can write back.

3
WhatsApp and email

If you message me, I see what you send and the number or address you send it from. WhatsApp is run by Meta, under its own privacy terms.

4
Booking a call

Calls are booked through Calendly, which asks for your name and email and sends both of us the invitation. The booking calendar on the contact page is loaded from Calendly and follows its own privacy policy.

The legal basis is your request: you asked me something, or asked to work together, and I need these details to answer. Nothing is used for a newsletter, sold, or shared for advertising.

Counting visits

To know which pages are read and whether the site is fast, I use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They count page views and loading times in aggregate, use no cookies, do not follow you to other sites, and do not keep your IP address. I see numbers like "120 visits to the Work page", never who you are.

Cookies and storage

The site itself stores two small things in your browser, both to make it work the way you left it:

  • theme, a cookie that remembers if you chose light or dark, kept for a year.
  • dbt-intro, in session storage, so the opening animation plays once per visit. It disappears when you close the tab.

There are no advertising or tracking cookies. On the contact page, the Calendly booking calendar may set its own cookies when it loads.

Who else is involved

A few services help deliver the site, and each one receives your IP address because that is how a file reaches your screen:

  • Vercel hosts the site and counts visits.
  • Formspark delivers form messages to my inbox.
  • Calendly handles bookings, and WhatsApp handles messages.

Some of them are based in the United States and transfer data under the EU and US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The fonts and images are hosted with the site, so no font service sees your visit.

How long I keep it

Messages and form replies stay with me while we are talking. If we do not end up working together, I delete them within twelve months. If we do, I keep what the project needs for as long as it lasts, and invoices for as long as Portuguese law requires.

What you can ask me

You can ask to see what I have about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how I use it, to object to it, or to receive it in a file you can take elsewhere. Write to hey@tiagoomanuel.com and I will reply within a month, usually much sooner.

If you feel I have not handled your data well, you can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.

Changes to this page

If anything here changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing about how I use your information will change without this page saying so first.

A question about your data?

Send it the same way you would send anything else. A message is enough.
